The Shrinkening is on.

No one but me is doing it but I will win anyhow. 10lbs will be evaporizing off my fat ass shortly. Diet is simple. The more you like something, the more you can't eat it. So the most delightful thing in the universe, chips are out entirely. Horrible shit like cauliflower moves way up on the list and things like vegetable soup stay about the same. I always found the first couple of days to be the worst until you get used to it. Then it is not hard at all unless you go out with friends and they all get to eat delicious nachos and high five each other. 10 Lbs aint much though. I should get through it in 2 weeks or less.

  1. I think it will hard to lose 10 actual pounds of fat in 2 weeks. Each pound is 3000 calories, so that means you'll have to eat 2142 calories LESS than break even to achieve that. I think breakeven for an adult male is between 2200-2700. That is virtual starvation.

  2. a pound is only 1500 calories. I can do a pound a day if I put my ass into it.

  3. I actually think a pound is 3500 calories. 10 is basically impossible in 2 weeks.

  6. Ten pounds in two weeks is a cake walk. I lost 20 pounds in the first 20 days of my diet. And that was pure fat. And I guarantee that my caloric intake increased.

  7. Your diet has to be the unhealthiest thing I have ever seen though. Soooooooo much mayonaise.

    It most certainly was not.

  9. i am with N. but i am also kinda with "rich", because that guy is more committed than anyone else, with the constant swimming and not eating. i cant swim 5 feet without having to go to a chinese buffet afterwards. "rich" will swim every day and only eat a handful of cashews.

but N is right i dont think it is quite possible for a guy the size of "rich" to lose that quickly. maybe big J could though, if he were as committed as "rich". i will stick with my slow loss plan, which worked for 10 pounds, but it took a year.

  10. Screw slow plan. I wanna get it over with already so I can go back to gorging.

If it aint fat what is it? Muscle loss? I think you melt fat before muscles. Unless jock is trying to dehydrate I don't see why he couldnt lose a pound per day. Especially at the beginning when you got plenty of that shit flopping around. It goes fairly quick at first.

  12. The math is pretty simple and straight forward. Here's a calculator where I put in Scott's inputs:

    http://www.caloriecontrol.org/calcalcs.html

It says his maintenance rate is 2600 calories a day. So let's say he literally starves himself AND runs 7 miles a day. That 7 miles burns off 800 calories. That leaves him at 3400/day, which is just under the 3500 needed to burn off on pound.

So if Scott doesn't eat a single calorie AND he runs 98 miles in 2 weeks, then he will in fact lose 13.6 pounds.
